Discover the brilliance of the Roman Empire in Duodecim Scripta! Your goal in this 2-player game is to move your pieces around the board once, then move them out of the board before your opponent does so. The game board is marked with 36 letters, evenly divided into 3 rows. Each player will be assigned a set of 6 pieces in red or white color, and both sides will take turns to roll 2 dice. Your pieces need to enter the board by using the middle row, then move in counterclockwise direction to the top row, then travel to the bottom row and finally move out of the board. The player who takes the first move will move his pieces onto the board by using the left side of the middle row, while the other player will use the right side of the middle row. During your turn, click the button on the screen to roll the dice, and the numbers shown are the number of steps your pieces can take, for example, if 1 and 3 are shown, you can move a piece 1 step forward, then move the same piece or another piece 3 steps forward. Note that you must finish your turn within the given time limit as shown by the timer on the screen, or you will lose. Each of the letters in the middle row can only be occupied by 1 piece. When your piece moves to the top or the bottom row, another piece of yours can land on it and the two pieces will stack and move as a group. A stack of pieces cannot move to a letter currently occupied by a larger opponent stack, for example, if an opponent stack contains only 1 piece, it cannot move to a letter currently occupied by 2 pieces of yours. But a stack of pieces can move to a letter currently occupied by an opponent stack which contains the same or a smaller number of pieces, and those pieces in the opponent stack must move out of the board and start from the beginning again. When your pieces arrive at the right side of the bottom row, an exact throw is required for the pieces to leave the board. Defeat your opponent to raise your reputation in the realm!
